About
Lorna McGinnis (she/her) is an MFA graduate of the University of British Columbia, with stories featured in Gone Lawn, MoonPark Review, Sea & Cedar Magazine, and other literary publications. At sixteen, she was diagnosed with pure obsessional OCD, and coming of age with mental health challenges has been a pre-eminent theme in her work ever since.

She currently types away as a marketing assistant—crafting blogs and social media posts—then sheds those upbeat vibes before sitting down to her dystopian young adult novel, The Sanctuary Thieves, in the evenings.

A California native, she has now left the sun behind and resides in the great Northwest, where she enjoys drinking tea, picking out the perfect scarf… and practicing for her next black belt.
